Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is upset losing Mame Diouf to Senegal's Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
The 27-year-old former Manchester United star got both goals as Stoke secured back to back wins by beating West Brom on Sunday.
Now boss Hughes wants one more big performance from him when he faces United on New Year's Day before he joins up for international duty.
He said: "It is a little bit frustrating that he's found some form and will then be leaving us for a while.
"Strikers tend to go in streaks, and when they get one then more goals follow in the next few games.
"I've just got to hope that he'll get those for us against United and then in the FA Cup before he goes.
"Then hopefully Senegal will get knocked out early and we'll get him back again while he is still on form!"
