Stoke City boss Mark Hughes insists Peter Crouch is not for sale.
Crouch has been linked with a switch to Crystal Palace in the January transfer window while fellow Potters striker Kenwyne Jones, 29, is unhappy over his lack of first-team action.
Hughes said: "We have good attacking players but for out-and-out strikers we only have two - Crouchy and Kenwyne.
"So to even contemplate them going before being anywhere near bringing anyone in is not the way we're thinking.
"We have to make sure, if anybody does leave, we are stronger as a consequence. There's no way I will weaken the group by letting players go.
"My intention is not to let Peter or Kenwyne go anywhere because we can ill afford that."
