Stoke City boss Mark Hughes expects Manchester United player-coach Ryan Giggs to help Adnan Januzaj reach his potential.

Former United forward Hughes said there is no one better then 40-year-old Giggs to show Januzaj how to get out of the way of clattering tackles.

Hughes said: "He's an outstanding talent and I'm sure he is going to be a top player for United.

"I'm sure Ryan will be mentoring him, though I'm not sure exactly how much ­protection he needs.

"When he came on as a sub against us he got five fouls in a very short space of time!"
