Stoke City boss Mark Hughes doesn't expect to buy big in January.
Hughes said that any major January expenditure will depend largely on whether Stoke suffer the kind of long-term injury afflicting Peter Odemwingie and mid-to-long-term injury afflicting Victor Moses.
"If an opportunity comes about and we think it's right and realistic, then we will pursue it," he said, "but we haven't done a great deal of business in January before.
"In terms of spending significant amounts of money in January, I don't anticipate that."
