Stoke City boss Mark Hughes admits Bojan Krkic's superb form has taken him by surprise.
The former Barcelona striker has been outstanding in recent weeks.
"When he came back in I knew he was ready," Hughes recalls. "I can't claim to know he would perform at the levels he has, but it was certainly a better chance of that and we felt he was ready.
"We are really pleased with what's produced and since he came back into the team he's arguably been our best player.
"He's worked hard, he's listened and he understand what's required."
