Kevin Nolan says he's committed to Newcastle United.

The Sunday Sun says Nolan has told Newcastle he will reject a move back to the Premier League this month to stick with the club's promotion challenge.

The Scouse midfielder has been linked with a return Pennines switch to Wigan, Stoke, Hull or Bolton halfway through a season in which his 11 goals from midfield have been the driving force behind the Magpies' bid to go back up.

But Nolan has held talks with United boss Chris Hughton to assure him that he wants to stay put on Tyneside.

Nolan's partner, Hayley, is expecting their second child and, having recently moved into a new home, has told him she wants to stay in the North East.
