Raheem Sterling's agent Aidy Ward has blasted Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.

Former defender Carragher suggested 20-year old winger Sterling was money-hungry after reports emerged that he was set to turn down a lucrative offer from the Reds.

Sterling is allegedly looking to leave Anfield this summer despite the offer but that information has not stopped Ward from criticising Carragher for commenting on the contract wrangle on Merseyside.

"Carragher is a knob. Everybody knows it," Ward said in the London Evening Standard.

"Any of the criticism from current pundits or ex-Liverpool players - none of them things matter to me. It is not relevant."
