Real Madrid's attacking trio saw a staggering 35 per cent drop in their goalscoring after Christmas.Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale were celebrated before the Spanish winter break as the best attack in Europe.
The 'BBC' had scored 57 goals (32 from Ronaldo, 14 from Benzema and 11 for Bale) in 28 games, averaging 2.04 goals per game.
But after the break, in the remaining 30 games of the year until last Sunday against Espanyol, the trio had scored 40 times (26 Ronaldo, Benzema 8 and 6 for Bale).
The average dropped to 1.3 goals per game, or 35% less.
