St Mirren have decided not to appeal over Franco Miranda's dismissal against Motherwell. The Argentinian was dismissed for allegedly elbowing John Sutton on Saturday and will now miss the Rangers clash.

Buddies boss Gus MacPherson was hoping television footage would clear the player but he has been left disappointed.

He said: "The pictures we have are inconclusive, so there's nothing we can do about Franco's red card.

"He'll be suspended for the Rangers game."
