St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has urged the club to put a deadline on the possible transfer of Stevie May.
The 20-year old striker, who has already scored three goals this season, is the subject of interest from English Championship club Peterborough United with Wright suggesting he could be sold if the timing and price is right.
"Since Wednesday there have been no further developments," Wright said after May scored in Saturday's 4-0 win over Ross County.
"I've spoken to the chairman and I feel that we have to put a deadline on it to be fair to ourselves.
"I don't want him going right on deadline day. I think we've got to look after ourselves and if he does go, he goes in plenty of time for us to get someone to replace him."
