St Johnstone's Lomas emerges as Doncaster Rovers target

St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas has emerged as a candidate for the vacant managerial position at Doncaster Rovers.

The League One club are without a boss after Dean Saunders left the Keepmoat Stadium to take the reins at Wolves and Saints gaffer Lomas is believed to be on their shortlist.

Former Hibernian defender Rob Jones, who is club captain, and scout Brian Flynn have taken interim charge at Doncaster as they search for a replacement for Saunders.

Irishman Lomas' name has appeared on a list of bookmakers favourites to land the role in England's third tier.
