St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas has confirmed the club is keen on signing striker Rowan Vine dependent on finances.
The 29-year old is a free agent after leaving QPR at the end of last season and has recently been training with the Saints as he tries to find a new home.
On Saturday, Vine scored both goals as St Johnstone beat Bristol City 2-1 in a pre-season friendly and Lomas is hoping to make the signing, however, he did point out the club may not be able to afford the former Portsmouth and Birmingham City man's services.
"I'd like to get something sorted out with Rowan but that all depends on money," said Lomas.
