St Etienne are keen to tempt Newcastle United fullback Massadio Haidara back to France.

Haidara is inside the final year of his current deal and ASSE are targeting the 24 year-old as they seek a new left-back signing.

ASSE are yet to make a firm bid for Haidara, but are keen on the defender.

The fullback joined Newcastle four years ago from Nancy.
