Spurs striker Kane now noticing closer marking

Tottenham striker Harry Kane says he can handle the extra attention coming his way in games.

Kane has been this season's big revelation.

He told the Daily Mail: "I'm confident. If other teams want to put two or three around me, fair enough. People say I will lose the element of surprise, but what makes great players is they perform season-in, season-out. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, scoring 40 goals every year.

"I notice it already, defenders are tighter, they're grabbing hold of me as soon as I move. John Terry at the Capital One Cup final was the hardest so far. It taught me what a brilliant defender he is, so much experience. I thought we'd played well against them in the two previous games, but that was different. They loaded up the middle to stop the balls coming through. Now it's up to me to deal with it."
