Spurs receive mixed contract news from Vorm and Vertonghen

Tottenham goalkeeper Michel Vorm has agreed to a contract extension.

Sky Sports reports Vorm has agreed to stay on until the Premier League campaign comes to an end.

Spurs have asked third-choice goalkeeper Vorm to stay put in their bid to hold on to all of their players whose contracts are supposed to expire on June 30.

The 36-year-old was brought back from retirement in October as a third-choice goalkeeper after starting shot-stopper Hugo Lloris suffered a serious injury.

Vorm said after his return last year: "For me, it's coming home. During the week I got the phone call and I was open to coming back and helping out."

Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen is yet to make a decision about his future as he is also among the players who will soon be out of contract.

Vertonghen needs to choose whether he will agree to a short extension that will allow him to stay at the club until the season is over or whether he will leave before it's complete.
