Spurs players rocked by Conte rant; expect him to go

Tottenham's players were rocked by manager Antonio Conte's rant after Saturday's 3-3 draw with Southampton.

Conte accused the players and owners of predicating over an "unacceptable" situation at the club, referencing their well-documented trophy drought and continued failure to deliver in crucial moments.

The Sun says the situation has come to a head at the club with Tottenham left reeling from top to bottom over how the situation with the Italian has been allowed to spiral out of control so dramatically.

Daniel Levy has been put in a difficult situation by Conte, with it seemingly increasingly clear he will not be remaining at the club beyond the end of this season.

Some players would be happy to see Conte go in the next two weeks, which is an international break.

Conte returned to Italy after yesterday's disappointing result, which leaves Tottenham vulnerable in the hunt for the top four, for a short break.

It is reported that there is a feeling among the current squad that Conte might not in charge for their next game, a clash with Everton at Goodison Park on April 3.
