Tottenham are preparing to launch a £5million bid for Rangers goalkeeper Alan McGregor.

The Sunday Mail claims that McGregor's fine form this season has attracted the interest of Spurs boss Juande Ramos.

The former Sevilla manager is understood to have been disappointed with the performances of both Paul Robinson and Radek Cerny and has asked his scouts to search out a replacement.

McGregor is happy at Ibrox but has told close friends that he would love to join former team-mate Alan Hutton in the Premiership.
