Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan is being linked with a return to Manchester United this summer. Forlan could make a sensational return to Manchester United after signalling his desire to leave Atletico Madrid, says the Mail on Sunday.
The 31-year-old striker has been involved in a bust-up with his manager, Quique Sanchez Flores, and the La Liga club are prepared to entertain offers of around £9million for their star striker.
Tottenham are also keen on Forlan despite failing with a £17m bid for the Uruguay international in January.
But it is the movement of United which comes as a surprise considering his disappointing spell with the Old Trafford club where he scored just 10 goals in 60 appearances.
