Tottenham are making a cash-plus-players swap offer for Blackburn Rovers winger David Bentley.

The People says Tottenham hope to hijack Liverpool's move for Bentley by offering Aaron Lennon and Hossam Ghaly, plus £7million.

Bentley is stalling on talks over a new deal at Blackburn and that has sparked a three-way chase for his signature which also involves Chelsea.

Liverpool remain the favourites to land Bentley and are poised with a £12m bid - £3m short of Rovers' valuation - while Chelsea will wait until their new boss is in place before making a move.
