Premiership clubs are queuing for Espanyol striker Raul Tamudo.
Portsmouth, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly fighting it out to sign Tamudo.
The Spain striker has been in talks to rip up his contract with the Catalan club and is close to agreeing a compromise which would see him loaned out for the rest of the season ahead of a permanent move in the summer.
Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez was keen to sign the 32-year-old in the summer, but Spanish newspaper Sport says the Lancashire club are now out of the running.
