Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has thanked manager Harry Redknapp for standing by him.
The 27-year-old has been helped by Redknapp publicly backing him and appointing Tony Parks as a goalkeeper coach - with the result being a solid five games.
Against Manchester United on Saturday he kept out Ryan Giggs' last-minute free-kick to earn Spurs a point with a goalless draw.
"I'm still feeling pain but the injury is getting better step by step, and I'm very happy," Gomes said.
"I am now in form, a month ago my injury was very difficult. I was not enjoying it. But I knew my quality and believed in myself."
Gomes is now enjoying his football again, adding: "I like a smile so much. This is very important for me."
