Tottenham insist manager Tim Sherwood has their full backing.
The Mail on Sunday says Louis van Gaal, the current Holland coach, and Frank de Boer, who is managing Ajax, have admitted to contact with the north London club since the sacking of previous manager Andre Villas-Boas.
But Spurs insist overtures to other managers ceased once the decision to appoint Sherwood had been taken.
The board will not consider installing Van Gaal above Sherwood, either. They know their current manager would not settle for that re-arrangement.
