Tottenham hope to convince Sunderland to part with striker Kenwyne Jones.
The Daily Mail says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is willing to offer Darren Bent in exchange for the Trinidad & Tobago international.
Despite Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia's unwillingness to do business, an offer of Bent plus cash for £14m-rated Jones may prove more tempting for Sunderland, especially if the striker becomes unsettled by the speculation.
