Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is backing Belgium teammates Nacer Chadli and Toby Alderweireld for a move to England.

Ajax defender Alderweireld has talked up the prospect of moving to Liverpool, while FC Twente winger Chadli is a long-term target for Fulham.

"They are two players who absolutely can handle the level of the Premier League and I hope that they can make the step. This summer they are ready for it," said Vertonghen on Alderweireld and Chadli.

Vertonghen added: "The qualities of Toby, of course I know very well. He'd fit in just fine and Nacer is an incredible player, who is even like Moussa Dembele."
