Spurs chief Paratici shopping in Bundesliga for Kane replacement

Tottenham are looking at Bundesliga strikers as they seek a replacement for unsettled centre-forward Harry Kane.

BILD via Fussball Transfers says recently appointed Spurs football chief Fabrizio Paratici is actively working the German transfer market for a new striker. The Italian was hired by Spurs earlier this month as his deal with Juventus was allowed to expire.

High on the agenda for Paratici is Werder Bremen's Dutch star Wout Weghorst, who has been on Spurs' radar for 18 months.

Towards the end of last season, Weghorst said: "If something big comes up, we have to listen to it."

Last season, Weghorst scored 25 goals for Werder in 41 games. He has a contract with the Bundesliga club until 2023.

Along with Weghorst, Paratici is also interested in VfB Stuttgart's Sasa Kalajdzic, though his €30m price-tag is currently regarded as too rich by Spurs.

The 23 year-old has a deal with VfB to 2023 and last season he scored 17 goals in 36 appearances. Kalajdzic stands at 2m tall.
