Tottenham chief Franco Baldini has been working the Italian transfer market this month.
TMW says Baldini, on instruction from Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, is seeking a new centre-half signing and his search has taken him to Italy.
Torino captain Kamil Glik is emerging as a top target for Baldini, with the centre-half having been linked with Arsenal, Everton and Newcastle United earlier this season.
Glik is tied to Toro until 2017.
He said: "I have a contract with Torino for two seasons and during the summer break we will think of what to do next."
