Tottenham chief Franco Baldini is discussing a move for Catania striker Gonzalo Bergessio with manager Andre Villas-Boas.

TMW says Baldini is a big fan of the Argentine and has raised the possibility of bringing him to London with AVB.

For the moment, Bergessio is an option on the table for Spurs, with no imminent bid being planned.

Southampton are also weighing up a move for the striker.
