Tottenham and Chelsea were beaten by Lazio for former Santos midfielder Felipe Anderson over the summer.

His agent Stefano Castagna has revealed he decided against a move England, settling on the Italian capital instead.

He told Radio Mana Sport: "Felipe Anderson is the present and the future of Lazio.

"Felipe is now eager and ready to repay the faith [president] Claudio Lotito and [sporting director] Igli Tare placed in him by signing him from Brazil.

"Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Tottenham and rich Russian and Ukrainian clubs had moved for him too."
