Spurs boss Redknapp: Portsmouth WILL beat AC Milan

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is backing old club Portsmouth to shock AC Milan in the UEFA Cup this week.

In his column for The Sun, Redknapp wrote: "Milan have great players in Ronaldinho, Kaka and Andriy Shevchenko. But whoever Carlo Ancelotti picks - they've got a lot of games coming up so he might mix it up - Milan are going to get a bit of a shock.

"I'm tipping a Portsmouth win.

"You may think I'm biased and it goes without saying that I'm incredibly proud of what I achieved down there.

"Most managers leave out the back exit with the sack, but I left with my head held high.

"I'd love Portsmouth to be a success under Tony Adams.

"There will be a cracking atmosphere on Thursday and Pompey have the players to make it one of the most memorable nights in their history.

"It's particularly good for tremendous professionals like David James, who probably thought they wouldn't get another crack at Europe."
