Tottenham and Liverpool are going head-to-head for Porto striker Jackson Martinez next month.
The Mail on Sunday says Porto have put several Premier League clubs on alert with the news that striker Martinez is up for grabs for a fee in the region of £30million.
Although Liverpool insist Mario Balotelli will not be put on offer in January, the Reds are in the market for a new striker.
Spurs are also in the market for a new striker and see Colombian Martinez as the ideal answer.
Italian agent Peppino Terri revealed last week that Liverpool had opened talks with Porto for Martinez.
