Tottenham are keeping tabs on Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing.

Downing has sparked further doubt over his future with Middlesbrough by admitting he has still to sign a new deal, despite two years of negotiations.

The England winger is a target for Everton and Tottenham and held talks with boss Gareth Southgate about his future recently after he was jeered by a section of supporters.

Downing revealed: "We have been negotiating for two years. It is not sorted and we have a problem. We have to sort it out."
