Sporting Lisbon have announced they've agreed to send winger Fabio Paim on-loan to Chelsea.

Paim has agreed a season-long loan deal with the option of a permanent move at Stamford Bridge after being informed he does figure in Sporting's plans for the season.

Paim spent last season on loan at Pacos da Ferreira and Sporting have agreed to let him leave on a temporary basis again.

The 20-year-old came through the youth system in Lisbon, but struggled to make an impact at the Portuguese club.

Luiz Felipe Scolari is believed to be an admirer of the versatile attacker and believes he can get the best out of the youngster at Chelsea.
