Sporting Gijon have swooped for Real Madrid winger Burgui.

The 22-year-old has played 26 games at Espanyol last season, alongside fellow Real loanee Marco Asensio, scoring one goal, and will hope for further progress with Sporting on a year's loan, says Marca.

Whether he will one day return to make an impact at Real remains to be seen, with the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo currently at the top of the pecking order.

But the club does appear more at ease with giving youth a chance in previous years, with Jese Rodriguez and Lucas Vazquez enjoying a role in the first team under former Castilla coach Zinedine Zidane last season.
