Livorno president Aldo Spinelli is putting the club up for sale.
Spinelli remains hopeful of avoiding relegation, but says he is now willing to relinquish control of the club.
"Livorno is for sale," the patron stated. "The team might be up for sale, but I will focus all my energies to help us stay in Serie A. I want to realise this dream.
"In five seasons at the helm of the club, there has only been one campaign in the Serie B, and a second season in the top-flight should not be seen as a failure for such a small city as Livorno.
"We have nine young players out of 24. The new owner will find a ready-made squad, and will have the possibility to return to Serie A very quickly."
