‘Special’ Leicester team to show what we can do in Champions League - Morgan

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan says the next item on the club's agenda is to prove they are worthy of being in the Champions League.

The Foxes surprised all bar themselves by winning the Premier League title last season and as a result, will now compete in Europe's premier club competition in 2016/17.

After penning a new three-year deal with the East Midlands club, Morgan admitted his excitement at being able to take last season's form onto the continental stage in what promises to be another massive season at the King Power Stadium.

"Lifting that Premier League trophy was a moment I will never forget and it's still sinking in," Morgan told the club's official website.

"Now we've got to give it everything to defend it as well as showing what we can do in the Champions League.

"We all know that what we've got in that dressing room is something special, so I can't wait to get the new season started with the boys so we can once again give it our best for each other and for our fantastic supporters."
