Russian outfit Spartak Moscow are still hopeful of signing Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Spurs knocked back an offer from Spartak to re-sign him on loan last week but have launched a fresh bid.

The hefty price tag Spurs have put on Pavlyuchenko's head has made Spartak reluctant, hence the idea of a loan deal.
