Luciano Spalletti knows he is fighting for his future at Roma. After their thrashing by Fiorentina on the weekend, Spalletti conceded: "Working in Rome has been beautiful, but now that things are going wrong it is right that I put up my hands and listen to the debate."

Roma president Rosella Sensi has put the players into ritiro this week and it emerged yesterday the board is now considering Spalletti's position.
