Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has hailed his players after winning the Nations League.

La Roja defeated Croatia in Rotterdam's final on penalties after the score finished 0-0 following extra-time.

De la Fuente said afterwards: "We got the most out of our players. We are happy with what we have collected.

"I have no words to describe how I feel for them. They set an example of professionalism to the whole team. The penalties? I was very calm in the penalties. I told them to take it calmly.

"They are champions for me and they deserved it. Now a few days off. Then the qualifications for the European Championship. We achieved something incredible."
