England U21 coach Gareth Southgate has hailed the goalscoring ability of West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino.

Berahino has netted 20 goals for his club side this season.

"You saw the other night against Chelsea the kind of ability Saido has," said Southgate.

"We've seen that ­right-foot curler quite a few times now, so he is a technically good finisher.

"Saido has scored the most goals in qualifying for this tournament of any player and he could beat the scoring record for the finals themselves.

"But I'm sure in his mind the priority is to win it, rather than getting an individual achievement."
