Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate insists contract rebel Stewart Downing won't be sold.
"We know it's been a frustrating time for him but we've made it clear we see him as a big part of our club," said Southgate. "We want to get him sorted on a better and longer contract if we can and we'll continue the dialogue we're having.
"There has been no written bid from Tottenham and even if there had been, he is not a player I am prepared to lose."
