Southampton veteran Walcott upset for Ward-Prowse after England snub

Southampton veteran Theo Walcott feels for skipper James Ward- Prowse after this week's England snub.

The 27-year-old's place on the plane to the World Cup hangs in the balance with only two months until the winter tournament kicks off.

“I'm quite disappointed that James Ward-Prowse didn't get a chance, being a teammate of his," Walcott said, speaking on talkSPORT.

“He didn't even feature in the first game and to not feature now as well. That's the other side of it people don't see, players will go to a camp, train great but not get the chance to play.

“Ultimately, that's the goal, you want to play. So it is disappointing for him like many players."
