Southampton veteran Walcott happy after victory over Leicester: I care about this club

Southampton veteran Theo Walcott admits victory over Leicester was a grind.

Saints won 1-0 thanks to Carlos Alcaraz, with James Ward-Prowse also having a penalty saved.

Walcott said: "Today wasn't the most technical game, it wasn't the most exciting to watch. But we worked hard together; it has been a challenging week and I am exhausted.

"We always come together. We kept on going, but it wasn't a very good spectacle. I've always been here, I think I can give something and I've got more in my legs. I came back here and I care for this club.

"It is important for the players, for the staff; we want to be in the Premier League and we are going in the right direction."
