Southampton topple Levante with Ward-Prowse watching on

Southampton did enough to secure a friendly win on Wednesday against Levante.

The Saints were without midfielder James Ward-Prowse, but Kyle Walker-Peters lifted the team as they finalize their preparations for the upcoming Premier League season.

The club had announced the departure of star striker Danny Ings to Aston Villa before kickoff, but the fans did have something to shout about during the game.

While Ward-Prowse and a few other first team stars were not involved in the game, Walker-Peters scored an excellent goal to give the home side the win.

The Saints take on Athletic Club in their final preseason friendly, before facing Everton at Goodison Park on August 14th.
