Southampton are believed to be poised to make a move for Sporting CP's Cedric Soares.

According to the <i>Daily Mail</i>, the Saints have identified the 23-year old right-back as a possible replacement for Nathaniel Clyne.

England international Clyne is a £15million target for Liverpool and Manchester United and if he happens to leave St Mary's this summer, the south coast club want to bring in apt replacement.

That has come in the form of German-born Portugal international Soares is believed to be the subject of an initial £3.5m offer from Southampton.
