Southampton to swoop for Celtic's Forster

Southampton are ready to make a £7million move for Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

Reports suggest the Saints will make an official bid for the 26-year old if the Hoops fail to beat Legia Warsaw in their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday night.

Celtic boss Ronny Delia hinted that the Glasgow giants could lose some players if they do not beat the Polish club who won 4-1 in Warsaw last week.

"It's possible," said Deila.

"If some are leaving then, okay, you need to get some in to replace them. That's how football clubs work and I have never been to a club which hasn't lost players. But I will also get some players in."

Forster has been linked with Southampton this summer and could be ready to move on if the Bhoys are unsuccessful in their quest to compete in Europe's top competition again.
