Southampton striker Pelle set to start for Italy against England

Graziano Pelle will reportedly start for Italy in Tuesday night's friendly with England.

The Southampton striker, 29, made his international debut when scoring in a 1-0 Euro2016 qualifying win over Malta in October last year before being used as a second-half sub in a 1-1 draw with Croatia in November.

His third appearance in an Azzurri shirt is set to come against the country where he has forced his way into Antonio Conte's plans after being continually overlooked during his time in Holland with Feyenoord.

Pelle, who was an unused sub for Saturday's 2-2 draw with Bulgaria in Sofia, is expected to play up front alongside Eder who netted the late equalizer in that match.

It is believed that Conte will star with a 3-5-2 formation with a much-changed line-up to the team that fought back to hold the Bulgarians on the weekend.
