Southampton face a battle to keep hold of Ricky Lambert.
The Sun says Reading manager Nigel Adkins could make a shock raid on his former club Southampton in a bid to grab striker Lambert, 31.
But Adkins will move in only if Saints pull off their £20million bid for Brazilian star Leonardo Damiao.
