Southampton is ready to offload Gaston Ramirez, according to reports in Italy.

The Uruguay international spent all of last season on loan at Hull City after struggling to hold down a regular first-team berth at St Mary's following his £12million move to the south coast from Bologna in August 2012.

According to Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb, several clubs are interested in Ramirez and he is likely to be put on the market for a cut-price fee with only one year left to run on his existing contract.

The 24-year-old has scored six goals in 44 appearances for the Saints.
