Southampton's Boruc thrilled for Celtic's Forster

Southampton goalkeeper Artur Boruc believes Celtic should be proud of Fraser Forster's England call-up.

The Hoops keeper was named in the Three Lions squad for the 2014 World Cup earlier this week and Boruc was full of praise for the inclusion.

While with Celtic, Boruc represented Poland at the 2006 World Cup and with Forster's selection was thrilled to see another Bhoys custodian get the nod for the FIFA tournament.

"I'm very pleased for Fraser, it's fantastic that he's going to go to the World Cup and it's fantastic for the Celtic supporters as well," he told the Daily Record.

"It's a huge thing for Celtic to have him there so I'm pleased for him.

"Hopefully he will play, but it's not going to be easy for him because England have good goalkeepers.

"But just being there is really big for him and I'm pleased to see another Celtic goalkeeper going to a World Cup.

"I still watch Celtic games on TV so I saw him in the Champions League and I can see he is a good keeper. I'm not surprised he has been selected."
