Southampton have reportedly turned down a £10million offer from Liverpool for Nathaniel Clyne.
It is believed that the Reds have made an early play for the right-back who is also a target for Manchester United.
Liverpool are set to lose Glen Johnson this summer and with Jon Flanagan still sidelined by injury, are in desperate need of a quality right-sided full-back.
Four-time England international Clyne, 24, fits the bill but the Saints have already made it clear that they will not let him leave on the cheap.
